After smash concerts in New York, Toronto and London, "Blame Canada!" returns to 54 Below for another evening celebrating the best in Canadian musical theatre featuring an all-star cast of Broadway’s Canadian talent. The concert will include work by the members of the Canadian Musical Theatre Writers Collective (CMTWC). The concert will include songs by Neil Bartram (The Story of My Life, The Theory of Relativity), Greg Morrison & Lisa Lambert (The Drowsy Chaperone), Sankoff & Hein (My Mother’s Lesbian Jewish Wiccan Wedding, Come From Away), Leslie Arden (The House of Martin Guerre), Robert Creighton (Cagney), Daniel Maté (The Trouble With Doug), Landon Braverman & Derek P. Hassler, Britta Johnson & Anika Johnson, Sarah & Gil Jaysmith, Andrew Sabiston & Timothy Williams, Joe Slabe & Matt Board, Joseph Trefler & Bill Nelson, Lezlie Wade & Daniel Green, and Kevin Wong. The concert will feature a host of Canadian Broadway talent, including Chilina Kennedy (Beautiful, Jesus Christ Superstar), Clyde Alves (On The Town), Camille Eanga-Selenge (The Book of Mormon), Tyley Ross (Finding Neverland), Aaron Walpole (Les Miserables), Sam Strasfeld (An American in Paris), Kira Guloien (Doctor Zhivago), Denis Lambert (Doctor Zhivago), Nyk Bielak (The Book of Mormon), Natalie Daradich (Wicked National Tour), Blythe Wilson (Mary Poppins National Tour), Keely Hutton (Stratford Festival Tommy and Fiddler on the Roof), and Alyssa LeClair (NYU’s A Man of No Importance). Hosted by Clyde Alves. Music direction by Rick Fox (Doctor Zhivago, Jesus Christ Superstar, Rent). --- Founded by Landon Braverman and Joseph Trefler, CMTWC is Canada’s largest national organization devoted to supporting and promoting the work of homegrown musical theatre writers.
